Tactical Training For Africa’s High Risk Environments.

COURSES

1. Advanced Reconnaissance

The FSC Africa Advanced Reconnaissance Program is designed for tactical professionals who wish to gain an advanced understanding of reconnaissance and information gathering while in hostile and non-permissive environments.

Advanced reconnaissance refers to the use of specialised techniques, equipment, and personnel to gather in-depth and detailed information about suspects, terrain, and operational environment. It goes beyond basic reconnaissance by employing advanced technology, intelligence analysis, and specialised training to provide a comprehensive understanding of the area of operation. Key skills such as ropework, tactical navigation, technology integration, mindset and fitness as well as modern day technological aids ensure that the Advanced Reconnaissance personnel have an in-depth understanding and real-world ability to effectively execute reconnaissance taskings in non-permissive environments.

This course is tailored towards individuals who intend to increase their effectiveness in the anti-poaching, mining sector and rural safety roles.

Course Cost: R20 000.00 (ZAR)
Course Dates:

  • 06 – 19 Oct 24

2. Close Quarter Battle (2025)

Urban areas provide the most high-risk environment in the 21st century. Proficiency in this skillset not only requires extreme discipline, high levels of fitness and mental preparation, but also the highest level of training and instruction. Our training team has years of operational experience and first-world training in Close Quarter Battle. This real-world experience, gained from live operations, allows for true knowledge transfer.

In 2025 we have changed the system. Formerly having Basic Close Quarter Battle (CQB) and Advanced Close Quarter Battle course options, we have now fused the courses to form one 8-day program, taking students from a basic level all the way to Advanced CQB.

The FSC Africa CQB course is designed for current and former Military, Police, Law Enforcement, Security and trained civilian personnel with limited knowledge of Close Quarter Battle, who wish to upskill their abilities in order to be safer and more effective in this environment. It will begin at the basics and bring the learner to a proficient level of basic CQB, up to a 4-man team with a basic understanding of structures, doorways, entry and clearing techniques.

Please note that from 2025 the Basic and Advanced Close Quarter Battle courses will be combined and offered as a single course.

2025 Course Dates

  • 18 April – 27 April
  • 15 Aug – 24 Aug

3. Advanced Anti-Poaching Operations Course (2025)

The Advanced Anti-Poaching Operations Course is designed for tactical professionals who wish to gain extensive knowledge and experience in the African Rural environment. Anti-poaching is a vital part of Rural Operations, but learning only those skills can leave you under-skilled in other high-risk rural type taskings such as mine security, border security, remote taskings and other work you may encounter as a professional.

African Battlecraft encompasses skills such as survival, tracking, bushcraft, remote medical, tactical navigation, camouflage, basic reconnaissance, and clandestine operations to close quarter bush tactics and small team tactics. Introducing 21st century technologies and tactics will make this course the first of its kind, combining age old, tried and tested, bush tactics in conjunction with modern day techniques and technological aids such as dual-tube night vision devices, infra-red laser light modules, flashlights, thermal imaging, drones and digital mapping.

The anti-poaching will introduce the student to anti-poaching and conservation law enforcement operations on the African continent. Students will conduct training among Africa’s big 5 (Lion, leopard, Rhino, Elephant, and Buffalo), learning how to conduct clandestine anti-poaching operations, understand animal behaviour, fauna and flora, poaching methods, arrest procedures, counter ambush and waylay techniques, vehicle mounted patrols, informant handling and processing and other vital skills important to the Anti-poaching field. This segment will be based purely out in the African bushveld and will be conducted as if on live operations.

    TESTIMONIALS

I've attended 2 courses with FSCA now, their rural operations and advanced firearms. Whilst both courses were done at entirely different paces, both were handled and taught equally professionally. They have been very helpful in accommodating the international travel with airport pickups and drop offs. I would highly recommend their courses for anyone serious about learning tactical skills and also looking for a great experience. The instructors are a great bunch and have had a very noticeable impact on shaping me into a better and more knowledgeable person. I do not have any experience with other providers of similar courses, however if I were to look elsewhere, FSCA have set very high standards which I believe anywhere else would struggle to match. Anyone wishing to do their reconnaissance and battle craft courses have my respect, hope you enjoy the dam like I did.

Great and demanding course. The courses with this company are not for the faint hearted. You will need humility when you fail and succeed. I recommend this course to anyone that wants to grow as a person and expand their tactical knowledge.

I have completed three courses with FSCA and am thoroughly impressed. The training is exceptional, delivered by highly experienced Special Operations professionals. Each course is meticulously designed, providing in-depth, practical skills that are immediately applicable in real-world situations. The instructors are not only experts but also passionate about teaching and ensuring every participant excels. The hands-on, realistic scenarios have significantly enhanced my tactical capabilities. I eagerly look forward to enrolling in the remaining courses. FSCA is a premier training provider for anyone serious about high-level security and tactical operations.

I had the privilege to participate and complete the Basic CQB course with FSCA. What a honor it truly was to be educated and trained by the instructors of the course! Each instructors background, knowledge and experience is world class and their methods of teaching are easily understood and conveyed to each participant of the course in a thorough manner.
